Happy Holidays!

Today I'm excited to share with you some of the things I've made for my family for Christmas!

I made this painting for my mom. I used Chinese ink for the whole painting. I'm glad she liked it! I also have a work in progress photo of this:

I made a few clay charms for my older sister. These were all so fun to make!

A cute s'mores!

 Mint ice cream.

Pancake with maple syrup and butter on top.

And my favorite, a doughnut necklace!

The s'mores and doughnut are best friends!

And last but not least, I painted this acrylic painting of Santa going down a chimney with his sack full of toys!

Octopus Charms

This past week I've been really busy getting ready for Christmas, mainly making lots of presents! I can't share a lot of what I've been making lately until after Christmas, but today I have these cute pink octopus charms to share with you!

These were sculpted out of polymer clay with painted on acrylic facial features. I've tried a few different ways of making simplified octopuses and these little guys seem to have turned out the best!

I hope you're excited for the holidays, which ever ones you celebrate!

Watercolor paintings

A watercolor I painted of a Northern Flicker's feather from my backyard.

Another watercolor painting, of a snail on a branch. This was inspired by my Helix Aspersa snail Gary!

New Charms!

A few polymer clay charms I've made this past week!

These cute little bears were really fun to make, besides that I had forgotten to put the eye pins in before I baked them! So before they cooled down and the clay was completely hard I was burning my fingers trying to poke the eye pins into their heads! With a bit of glue they stayed and (Hopefully!) won't fall out.

Next I have this cupcake charm complete with sparkly pink frosting oozing down the sides! I brushed pastels onto the cupcake to give it a warm baked look before adding the frosting.

I think they're all waiting to gobble up the cupcake!

Popsicle Charms

Today I sculpted polymer clay Popsicle charms! These were really fun to make and they're super cute!  I also handmade the eye-pins out of wire.
I used FIMO and Premo! clay and toothpicks for the Popsicle sticks.

A Popsicle family!

Small Watercolor Painting

A small watercolor I painted of a happy land with bunny-like creatures roaming about!

I used colored pencils for some details such as the dark pink outline around the bunny creatures and on the flowers.

My Birthday!

Hi everybody! Yesterday was my birthday and I want to share with you photos I took of some of my gifts. I had the most wonderful birthday I could've asked for!

Thank you Mom, Dad, Aria, Zoe, and Ava for all the love you have given me and the wonderful cards and gifts.

I squealed with delight when I saw all the tiny bowls and pans! There's nothing better than miniature stuff!

I can't wait to fill this tiny candy jar with all sorts of candy!

Thank you for the best birthday ever!

Candy Canes and Lollipops

I have been busy this week making more candy canes and some rainbow lollipops in 1:12th scale! Candy canes are so much fun to make, I ended up making forty of them!

Making the rainbow lollipops was very similar to making the candy canes except I used more colors, modeled them into a different shape and put them onto some sanded down toothpicks. I love using bright colors so making candy is super fun!

This is a 1:12th scale candy cane.

Once I started making candy canes I challenged myself to make one as small as possible! These are the tiniest candy canes I could make! Next to a toothpick for size comparison. I wonder what scale these really tiny candy canes would be...
Here is a shot of the tiny candy canes next to a 1:12th scaled candy cane!  Well, I'm off to do some more sculpting now! Hope your having a great week!

Miniature Thanksgiving Meal

Happy Thanksgiving! Our house smells so delicious today. My Dad always makes the best festive dinner! Chicken, stuffing, corn, carrots, green beans, mashed potatoes, cranberries, both a berry and a pumpkin pie... Here's a 1:12th scale Thanksgiving dinner just waiting to be eaten!

Here we have green beans, steamed carrots, cranberries, buns, a huge pumpkin pie, and a roasted chicken! The pumpkin pie is larger than 1:12th scale because I used a larger bottle cap as the pie tin. The next pumpkin pie I make will be in 1:12th scale though!

I was really excited to make my first roasted chicken! Maybe I'd make it a bit longer next time. Other than that I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. I can't wait to make another roasted chicken for Christmas!

I think the green beans might be a little bright. They're very green! I'm going to experiment with the color some more!

Ah, bread. I love making any kind of bread out of polymer clay. I think these buns were my favorite part of the meal to make!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Christmas Candy

This week I have been busy making all sorts of tiny Christmas candies! I'm going to be using the candy to decorate the miniature gingerbread houses I'm planning on making soon. Christmas is my absolute favorite holiday. I'm going to be sculpting a big festive dinner, and lots of desserts to celebrate!

Lollipops, candy canes, licorice, peppermints, gumdrops, gumballs, and huge peppermint sticks! I'm probably going to cut the peppermint sticks in half so they can actually fit on the gingerbread houses.

Have a wonderful weekend!
